Hello earth. Meet the Collective

The Down to Earth Collective is the social impact enterprise that brings the film DOWN to EARTH to a global audience. With the film we share the wisdom of the Earth Keepers to ignite positive change through everyday action. One of the pillars is Education to help the next generation to turn the tide. We bring inclusion, equality and innovation through a powerful and crucial educational 'experience' using the film and wisdom shared by the Earth Keepers as inspiration. Also in Corporates the film is being used to help executives develop their personal leadership.

The Down to Earth Collective is formed by a group of people following their own path to make change happen. We share a common purpose, but the way we go about fulfilling and expressing is unique. We recognize and support each other, precisely because we are from different disciplines, different backgrounds and are approaching world problems with different perspectives. Why? Because we have the same needs, we are all human and it takes a tribe and we need each other to make a change.

During this period, not only did the film transform, but working on DOWN to EARTH also had an irreversible impact on Sahil's life. Carlijn Odijk-Bergmans is co-creator in our Education team and has been interested in people's learning behavior from an early age. After completing the Primary Education Teacher Training and the Pedagogy-Educational Sciences study, she worked in education for over twenty years. At Leiden University as a research assistant, at an educational publisher as a method developer, at the PABO as a teacher, at primary school as a teacher and internal supervisor. Her motivation and passion have always been "how do a children learn, how does someone grow in their own development". In 2002 her motivation suddenly became very personal because from one day to the next she fell into a severe shock due to medication before an operation. From that moment on her motivation became a personal passion: How do I learn "everything again" in the physical, emotional, mental and in the field of meaning. In 2013 she founded her own Practice "Being at Carlijn" for help with learning and growing up. What does a person need to live his / her own talents?
