To be successful we need to grow our DTE team and we are looking for a few professionals to help us get our message to the world. DOWN to EARTH drives a new dialogue in society, empowering individuals, communities and organizations to challenge their existing mind-set by asking the right questions, to take responsibility and to take action.

With the DOWN to EARTH Collective we build on three pillars from where we expand our movement to all parts of society where people are influenced: @Home, @School and @Work.

For each pillar, we are co-creating programmes with individuals, schools and organizations. We plan to develop programmes within each pillar that will be rolled out in 2017, to build on the energy of over 75,000 people who have seen the film since it’s release in October 2016.

An integral part of the social enterprise is the DOWN to EARTH Foundation, the charitable arm. The Foundation will actively support the work of the social enterprise by providing programmes for individuals, communities and organisations that are unable to pay for the programmes, with a particular focus on young change makers.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to co-create, grow and become part of a people powered change. We have an international team and we would like candidates to be fluent in English and Dutch, European languages would be a plus. Head of Marketing and Communications

This is a new role and we are looking for a creative and inspiring communications expert to help us co-create the role and to develop and drive an ambitious communications strategy for the DOWN to EARTH Collective and DOWN to EARTH Film.

The Role
Some of the Head of Marketing and Communications responsibilities will include:

• Develop and articulate a vision for the international communications function for the Film and the Collective.
• Develop and maintain the identity and brand of DOWN to EARTH
• Lead on the development and management of proactive and impactful social and digital media strategies and related activities.
• Manage and oversee global campaigns to support the delivery of the DOWN to EARTH’s strategy
• Contribute to the development and realisation of the DOWN to EARTH’s digital strategy.
• Develop, manage and execute all internal and external communications for DOWN to EARTH
• Manage and develop a small team, to include the Social Media and Content Executive

The Person
• You have a proven track record in delivering successful and engaging communications across digital, publications, media, and public engagement
• You are able to form and lead an enthusiastic team
• You are a self-starter, able to take own initiative and work well solo as well as in team environment
• You are an experienced professional with developing organisational communications strategies and you are able to make them happen!
• You have an extensive knowledge of branding principles and tactics through multimedia
• You have high-level communication (written and verbal) and inter-personal skills
• You like to build together with other people and like to make the difference.

Social Media and Content Executive

In this role you will be devising, planning and managing social strategy and campaigns for the DOWN to EARTH Film and DOWN to EARTH Collective, to communicate to the viewers, supporters and business customers.

The Role
Some of the Social Media and Content Executive responsibilities will include:
• Work across the organisation to make sure social media delivers the best possible results for the film and the Social Enterprise.
• Develop a holistic strategy for DOWN to EARTH’s social presence and make it happen!
• Expand the reach of the core principles that the Film and Social enterprise embody
• Oversee day-to-day activity across social media channels and help DOWN to EARTH to take advantage of reactive opportunities
• Expand and diversify the social planning, communications and evaluation to help the whole organisation to benefit from the potential of social media
• Identify and develop opportunities in the different sections of the business to creatively communicate socially
• Effectively deliver our core message to our potential audience and customers

The Person
• You have a broad experience of social media platforms and campaign development
• You have an in-depth knowledge of emerging platforms and trends in user behaviour
• You have a proven ability to identify and work with social media influencers to deliver results
• You have a proven track record of successfully using outreach strategies to help brands reach new markets segments a distinct advantage

Copywriter

We’re looking for a passionate, talented Copywriter with experience across traditional and digital platforms to join our team. Your primary role is to develop ideas and write copy for the DOWN to EARTH Film, Collective and Foundation.

The Role
Some of the Copywriter responsibilities will include:
• Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team
• Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
• Write creative, effective copy and modifying it until the team is satisfied
• Understanding different language styles that appeal to various target markets and and ensure that the brand and messaging is consistent and followed across the DOWN to EARTH Film, Collective and Foundation.
• Take charge of copy from conception to delivery
• Collaborate with the Communications team to generate and deliver creative solutions and strategy.
• Think strategically about long- and short-term marketing campaigns for DOWN to EARTH Film, Collective and Foundation.
• Creates and supports the PR Communications team as needed by creating copy for employee communications channels, speeches and presentations.

The Person
• Highly creative, passionate and imaginative individual who understands and believes in the values of DOWN to EARTH
• Fluent in English and Dutch, other european languages will be a plus
• Skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
• Understand the different language styles that appeal to various target markets i.e for DOWN to EARTH Film, Collective and Foundation.

DTE Film Website Maintenance and Newsletter Creation

In this role you take care for the DOWN to EARTH film website.

The Role
Some of the Film Website Maintenance and Newsletter Creation responsibilities will include:
• Update and maintain the DOWN to EARTH film website
• Send out the monthly newsletters to our viewers, supporters and customers
• Work with the communications and social media team
• Set up and maintain ticketing for events
• Create and maintain databases and mailing lists using ESP’s

The Person
• You have an in-depth knowledge of the Squarespace platform
• You are able to custom code for the website in Squarespace
• You have a broad experience with designing webpage layout
• Create and maintain web pages and site sections in line with the marketing and communications objectives
• Proactively improve content on the website by helping to coordinate the gathering and publishing of new content
• Regularly audit sections of the website to ensure appropriateness, relevance, accuracy and timeliness of the content
• You have Knowledge and experience of maintaining databases and mailing lists using ESP’s

Video Editor

In this role you will edit videos for the Film and Social enterprise

The Role
Some of the Video Editor's responsibilities will include:
• Create and edit short-form (60 sec) - long form (30 minutes) video content from creative briefs
• Brainstorm ideas for video content alongside editorial and creative teams

The Person
As the successful candidate, you will:
• Have previous experience in a video editing position using Premiere, Final cut or Avid
• Fluent in English and Dutch, German and other European languages will be a plus
• Ideally come from an creative filmmaking background and have worked across multiple clients at the same time
• Have excellent editing skills as well as experience in motion graphics
• Be confident working with wider editorial and commercial teams in a fast-paced environment

Office Coordinator

We are looking for a skilled Office Coordinator to undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities.

The Role
Some of the Office Coordinator's responsibilities will include:
• Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
• Maintain files and records with effective filing systems
• Support other teams with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.)
• Being the first point of contact for new clients, suppliers etc
• Monitor office expenditures and handle office contracts
• Recieve and collate all Mail and invoices
• Perform basic bookkeeping activities and update the accounting system
• Deal with clinet complaints or issues
• Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders

The Person
As the successful candidate, you will have:
• Proven experience as office coordinator or in a similar role
• Experience in customer service
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in Englisha nd Dutch, other european languages will be a an asset
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Reliable with patience and professionalism

 

Crowd funding campaign development and activities

• Your role will be central in raising funds from donors.
• You will create fundraising programs that includes individual giving/appeals, corporate and foundation giving.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit support from prospective donors.
• You will use a variety of solicitation tools, including events, meetings, calls, and online communication.
• You will create and develop campaigns for the initiatives for the foundation
• You will facilitate the online donor journey which would include designing and scheduling various crowd funding campaigns
• Create a social media plan for the foundation and its various initiatives
• Develop new relationships to help the Foundation to achieve its initiatives
• Work with events staff and the team to support exclusive events and high-touch donor engagement activities.

The Person
As the successful candidate, you will:
• Have experience of marketing, communications and design.
• Strong writer with demonstrated experience in writing convincing appeals to attract supporters.
• Experience with and contacts in media and public relations.
• Self-starter who is willing to support and lead projects.
• Flexible, with an ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously within budget, deadlines and changing priorities.
• Results-oriented, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work cross culturally.
• Experience in writing grant proposals, and to keep contact with high value donors.
• Skills at presenting the information in clarity, simplicity and correctly.
• Understanding and ability to work with the team and volunteers.
• Knowledge of database management.
